The Latest...

Current news:

I have been in Flagstaff, AZ for eight weeks now, enjoying the company of some of my dearest friends only to find myself preparing to leave again.  Now I venture to Northern California (the San Francisco area) for an opportunity to live a contemplative lifestyle with like-minded friends in a commune for several months.

I plan on returning in December 2009 to ride the 815-mile Arizona Trail in the style of Scott Morris, but on a fixxed-gear/single-speed mountainbike.

Recently Finished:

Urban Backpacking for five weeks in Western and Eastern Europe, ranging from Paris, France to Oslo, Norway to Budapest, Hungary to Lisbon Portugal. Nine countries total, and all wonderful.

Winter Motorbike road tour from Flagstaff, AZ to SoCal, USA.  Ranging from the Grand Canyon into the Painted Desert then westward through Zion NP and down through Death Valley.  After passing through a blizzard over the last open pass in the Sierra Nevadas and crashing, I eventually made it to San Francisco and take the famous Coast HWY 1 to San Diego.

I am delinquent in my report of both, but I suspect that soon the inspiration to write completely is on the horizon....so please stay tuned in!

Welcome to Velocitramp

This website works as the hub to several journals that tell my story, as well as a culmination of info and data that may help in the walk of others on similar paths, be they explorers of the world or of the Self.

Adventure Journal covers my main writings of trip logs, photos and reflections on my own personal discovery and place in this life.

Overlanding is strictly devoted to my affair with Adventure Motorcyclng and Vehicle Dependent Overlanding.

Within the Calendar section of this website, you will find a list of the coming projects of the next few years.

Primary Project: In the year 2013, I will travel to eastern Siberia, equipped with an Xtracycle mountain bike, and begin a six-year journey exploring the Asian continent by any means available. The intention is to document the experience.

And so I invite you, the reader, whoever you are, to share in this experiment of discovery.

The human experience of Exploration is the Spirit of Adventure.
